General Information

Location:   6800 Hubbard Road, Clarkston, MI 48348

Age:  Ideally suited to kids ages 3-10

Focus:

Homesteading Club is a great opportunity for children ages 3-10 to experience hands-on weekly nature education (children under 5 attend with caregiver).  Lessons are focused around homesteading principals.  Each seasonal series will be 8 weeks long and have a different focus.

- Fall sessions focus on farm animals and fall harvest.

- Winter session focuses on the home economics side of homesteading (cooking, baking, canning, hand crafts, learn where syrup comes from, etc).

- Spring session focuses on plants and gardening.

Each week students will participate in hands-on learning, exploration, outdoor education, animal interaction, crafts, music/movement games, and read-a-louds.  We also will either provide a thematic snack or do a cooking lab each week.  Homesteading club keeps low ratios and is run by certified elementary teacher Sarah Bann and certified yoga instructor and friend of the farm, Meg McGinn, and support is provided by a wonderful teaching staff.  Scroll down for more information on each 8 week session.

Please note a discount of $5 per session will be applied if signing up for all 3 sessions of the 2026/2027 school year (fall, winter, spring).

Optional add on for extra care 3:45-4:30pm and optional pick up from Independence Elementary.  $20 extra per 8 week session.
