The Clarkston Monarch Butterfly Festival is back
August 24th from 4- 7 p.m. at your favorite non-profit farm for kids, The Clarkston Family Farm!
Located at 6800 Hubbard Rd in Clarkston, MI 48348. Parking is at adjacent elementary school, Independence Elementary at 6850 Hubbard Rd. Registration is required for this family fun event.
Registration is $5 per person, and includes $5 in tickets (so is basically free). There is no charge for parking or the many crafts, workshops, informational talks and farm animal interaction. A great way to enjoy learning about this special insect that has captured all of our hearts and could really use our help while having a ton of fun with your friends and family at the Clarkston Family Farm. Learn through hands-on activities how you can make a difference right in your own backyard in the success of the Monarch Butterfly.
What you can look forward to:
* Crafts for kids and nature-themed games like Making A Monarch, Caterpillar Creation, Watercolor Butterfly Art, Paper Pot Planters, Seed Ball Creation and a Bully Plant Scavenger Hunt.
* Local Artisans and Farm Market
* Celebrated Monarch Butterfly Expert lectures and book sales
* Farm animal interaction
* Monarch Butterfly Release and tagging demonstrations
* Native plant planting and information
Relaxing, fun and informative day for the entire family!
Most activities are already included with registration, however there are a few-things that require additional payment via tickets. Although you will automatically receive 5 tickets for each person registered upon entry, you may also pre-purchase additional tickets at a discounted price below.
