Sensory Exploration in Nature using the sense of touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing
General Information:
Location: 6800 Hubbard Road, Clarkston, MI 48348
Age: Ideally suited to ages 3-6 years (exceptions for siblings may apply)
Focus: Our youngest learners will enjoy exploring our farm and garden spaces utilizing our 5 senses on the farm in a way that is developmentally appropriate as we incorporate art, music, simple math and science.
Sprouts Camp is directed by Chelsea O'Brien, B.S., an experienced and certified environmental educator as well as founder and executive director for the Clarkston Family Farm. Teaching team also includes naturalists, artists and Camp Counselors selected from trained National Honors Society CHS students and aspiring teachers. Great camper to teaching team ratio of no more than 5 to 1. We also employ activity station leaders and junior camp counselors for the most safe and engaged program available for your young explorer!
Activities include: Student directed self exploration and nature hunts, baby farm animal interaction, tasting and harvesting stations, music, art and movement using the sense of smell, taste, touch, sight and hearing
Cost: $160.00
Dates: There are 2 sessions to choose from:
Session 1: June 16th-June 20th
Session 2: June 23rd-June 27th
Time: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Drop off and pick-up will be at our Learning Pavilion (behind the Sunflower Market). Most of our time will be spent in our many outdoor learning spaces.
